Ag Research Facility

The new Ag research headquarters and research center is based at the Lincoln University headquarters and will form part of an agricultural science precinct that also includes crown research institutes Plant and Food Research and Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research.

The primary structure is a combination of LVL beams and columns and Glulam roof beams that cantilever to the outside of the building. The Potius™ Box Beams and Double Tee panels form the floor and roof systems respectively. The floors are overlaid with batten and cradle acoustic flooring. Lateral bracing is via CLT shear walls that use Tectonus seismic energy dissipation.
